Battle for the Hearts and Minds

2010- A series examining the 1920's, ideological feud between historical black legends W.E.B. DuBois and Marcus Garvey in a contemporary, hip hop context. This 'event' is presented as a cross between a heavy weight fight and a rap battle.

The series is comprised of a 10 minute video, an edition of handprinted/bound 'battle books', and various promotional materials.
