The People'S Laundromat Theater
2013- A public arts residency project commissioned by The Laundromat Project in the summer of 2013 that brought independent media to the television screens of a Harlem laundromat, and invited community members to get involved by providing feedback on the video works, rating the works, joining biweekly People’s Wash + Fold Film Club discussions, participating in free art workshops, and more. The project was concluded with a red carpet style finale event where everyone was a VIP and everyone was a Star. The finale was hosted by the Schomburg Center in Harlem and featured the neighborhood's top-rated works.
